"This is a fabulous book for neuropathy sufferers ...informative, uplifting, and practical. Patients with neuropathy will find all kinds of valuable information that will ease their suffering, increase their understanding of neuropathy, and make coping with the discomfort just a little bit easier."

"The title of this book may scare people off, but it shouldn't. Mims Cushing--a longtime sufferer--explains what exactly neuropathy is, how extensive it is (20 million in the US) and what can be done to deal with it. Neuropathy, very simply put, is a disorder that afflicts the nerve endings of extremities, especially the feet, but which can also affect other parts of the body such as the arms and hands, etc. It can cause numbness, ongoing discomfort, loss of balance and sleep loss to name only a few issues. Treatment is difficult and often ineffectual. It also involves diet, exercise, spiritual healing, and group therapy. Even with all that, the condition never goes away. Any book that deals with human ailments runs the risk of being too serious, or conversely, too breezy. Mims Cushing avoids both pitfalls. Her approach is to combine personal history and anecdote with clear and thorough medical explanation. The tone is just right, casual never flippant, informative and never patronizing."

"I've recently had the opportunity to review You Can Cope with Peripheral Neuropathy, and must say it's one of the most informative and readable pieces I've come across in ages. It's obviously well researched and the organization of details and references worked into the text are most appealing. Mims Cushing's writing style immediately catches your attention and brings the issues surrounding neuropathy to life. The whole person integrative approach is very well carried off. This is an honest, practical approach to a problem that needs explanation to our patients."

"I had the privilege of reviewing "You Can Cope With Neuropathy" and discovered it far exceeded my expections. I have arthritis and chronic headaches. The information in this book appears universally applicable to ANY chronic and potentially disabling disorder. The "porch rocker" writing style merges comfortably with extensive research to produce an enlightening read. I plan to buy several copies when it is published - one for me and several for friends. The gift of this book to anyone with a chronic condition would truly be a gift of love."
